Retrieve Lost Files in Xmind

Xmind’s file recovery lets you locate and restore maps that seem to be missing or were accidentally changed. The File Cache feature automatically saves edited files on your device so you can recover recent versions without searching through folders or relying on cloud backups.

On desktop, open the top menu, choose File, then File Cache to view auto-saved copies. Use the cache list or the search box to find the lost map, then click Retrieve to restore it to your workspace. On mobile, open Settings and tap File Cache to access the same auto-saved records.

• Open File > File Cache on desktop to see auto-saved and backup entries.

• Type a name or date in the search box to narrow results.

• Use Settings > File Cache on mobile to recover maps saved by the app.
