Adjust Topic Length in Xmind
Adjusting topic length helps keep a mind map tidy and readable by controlling how text wraps and how wide each topic appears.
You can change topic length in several simple ways: drag the topic border, insert manual line breaks, or set a fixed width and alignment from the Style and Map settings.
Drag the topic border: click a topic and drag its right border to resize visually until the text wraps as you want.
Insert line breaks: double-click the topic, place the cursor where you want the line to break, and press Shift+Return to force a new line and let the topic resize automatically.
Set fixed length or alignment: open the Style panel to set a fixed width, or use the Map alignment option (Justified/Uniform) to align multiple topics evenly.
Use these methods to make long topics compact, improve layout consistency, and speed up map editing. Try the drag method for quick fixes and style or alignment for uniform results.
