Applying Global Format

Advanced Layout

Xmind offers enhanced control over your mind map's structure, including free positioning of branches, flexible placement of floating topics, and the ability to overlap topics.

Branch Free-Positioning

Function: Enables free movement of mind map branches for personalized layouts.
Usage: In format panel under Advanced Layout, select Branch Free-Positioning to commence branch maneuvering. To undo, use the Ctrl+Z shortcut or uncheck.

Flexible Floating Topic

Function: Allows placing floating topics anywhere within the mind map without automatic linkage to other topics.
Usage: Find Advanced Layout in the format panel, check Flexible Floating Topics. To undo, use the Ctrl+Z shortcut or uncheck.

Topic Overlap

Function: Permits overlapping of mind map topics, enriching creative mapping possibilities.
Usage: Opt for Advanced Layout in format panel, check Topic Overlap to initiate floating topic arrangement. To undo, use the Ctrl+Z shortcut or uncheck.
