Chapter I of Structures in XMind: ZEN
Anne
Imagine you are playing the SimCity, but you’ve got to build the city by using things below:
Central Topic - City Center
Key thoughts - Main Roads
Secondary Thoughts - Secondary Roads
Images/Notes/Marks - Landmarks
So how are you going to arrange it? Make it convenient and reasonable for the citizens (your ideas) to live, while offering a guide map for visitors.
—–That’s what we are going to talk about, choose a suitable template to build the city, which is choosing the right structure for your mind map. Previously, we had a blog post on almost all structures in XMind 6. In the following guide, we will talk about balanced mind map, timeline, and org chart. You can check out our introduction on Matrix Table.
Balanced Mind Map
It is a common structure in mind maps, presenting ideas on each side of the central topic, providing a clear view of all the key thoughts of the topic.

Timeline
Among chronological lists of events. The timeline is typically a horizontal/vertical long bar labeled with dates paralleling it.

Org Chart
Scottish-American engineer Daniel McCallum is credited for creating the first organizational charts of American business. Org chart is a diagram that shows the structure of an organization and the relationships and relative ranks of its parts and position and jobs.
