Introducing Tree Table. A New Structure in XMind.

Shin

XMind has covered different structures: classical mind map structure is for divergent thinking, and brainstorming, timeline emphasizes the sequence, while fishbone is helpful for analysis, and there are so much more.

Introducing Tree Table, a new member joining the big structure family in XMind. One more option, better solution.

What is Tree Table

Tree Table is closer to the logical context of mind mapping. It devides and expands the information from left to right/top to bottom, and helps to identify whole and part relationships.

For new comers, tree table not only provides fresh reading experience in information visualization, but also friendly for formatting – just like the way you did on mind mapping.

Difference of Tree Table and Matrix

Matrix is about dimensional combination.

It expands according to the logic of a two-dimensional table, focusing on the intersection of rows and columns, and it is better at comparative analysis of information or multidimensional enumeration. You can do a S.W.O.T analysis with Matrix.

Tree table expands just like the mind map structure, but in different shapes. Following the sequence of whole-part, but the topics are displayed in nested blocks. You can always keep the tree branches growing in the blocks.

The best part is that, mind map, logic chart, timeline, etc. can be transformed to tree table with just a click.
